Hooks Meng & Clement is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our outstanding crew and help provide our clients with expert Industrial Relations Law solutions law. We counsel and defend employers, insurers, third-party administrators, and others in the areas of workers’ compensation, subrogation, occupational safety and health, subsequent injury, and related matters. Our practice is fast-paced and challenging, and we have a tremendous amount of legal experience in mentoring new team members.
Responsibilities
- Representing clients in court or before government agencies
- Preparing and drafting legal documents on behalf of clients
- Advising clients on business and legal transactions
- Complying with all legal standards, ethics and regulations
- Preforming administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
- Reviewing and managing case files and case strategies for various clients
Qualifications
You must have:
- A Nevada Bar License
- Strong analytical and cross-functional problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in Administrative Law or Employment-related law
- 1-3 years litigation experience desired, but not required

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. Responsibilities
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence and pleadings, such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
- Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
- Arrange law office activities such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
Qualifications
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program strongly preferred3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 3 years of experience in providing legal services (general litigation is preferred) supervised by an attorney in a law firm setting; however, no experience is not disqualifying

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing Bankruptcy Practice. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities
- Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, as well as other administrative duties as needed
- Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
- Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, affidavits and more
Qualifications
- Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational and time-management skills
- Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience in providing legal services supervised by an attorney in a law firm setting in estate planning/probate or bankruptcy; however, no experience is not disqualifying
- Experience and proficiency in using Best Case bankruptcy software is preferred

Our busy law firm is in search of a Legal Assistant to join our growing team. A Legal Assistant supports 1-2 of our attorneys in achieving our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting attorneys by performing a variety of administrative duties. The candidate must:
- Have strong communication skills required for frequent interaction with court personnel, opposing counsel and clients
- Be detail oriented
- Have strong organizational skills
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be able to prioritize work effectively
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
- Associate degree or higher preferre
- Experience in the legal industry is highly desired
- Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
- Ability to provide and excellent customer experience, utilizing strong customer service, personal and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of standard office software, including email, web browsers, billing software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- As we are largely paperless, you will need to understand how to work in a digital environment with PDFs and other digital file formats
- Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with a high rate of accuracy
- Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
- Courteous and professional demeanor
- Able to work as a team with attorneys
- May require valid driver’s license
